TREX Recycling Project


We’re collecting clean, dry plastic bags and other plastic to earn a bench for the library.  So far we have 429 pounds with 71 to go!  Go to for more information.  Thanks to our neighboring library, Bertolet Memorial, Polo Lifeline Food Pantry, and Mt Morris Loaves & Fish for their help with this project!






Library Card Sign Up Month


If you don’t have a library card yet this is the time to get one!  If you already have a card show it to us and your late fees will be waived.  Lost cards will be replaced at no charge this month.  The world in your pocket with a library card.

Preschool StoryTime

StoryTime begins on Tuesday, September 12th at 10:30 A.M.  This year we are adding an afternoon StoryTime beginning Thursday, September 14th at 2:00 and a Saturday StoryTime, beginning September 23rd at 10:30 A.M.  All preschoolers are welcome to attend with a parent or caregiver.  Registration is required for these programs.

Books in a Bag Sale

During Polo’s All Town Garage Sale (Friday, 9/29 & Saturday, 9/30) we are offering bags of Children’s Books for $3 and/or bags of Adult Books for $5.  All proceeds benefit programming.  Come in and take a break from shopping!

Polo Library News


During the month of September, Polo Library will be collecting new and/or gently used winter wear in adult and children’s sizes.  We will donate these items to Second Hand Rose.  If you donate an item we will forgive your late fees. 

Rock River Center at the Library

Every fourth Wednesday of the month.

A caseworker from Rock River Center will be at the library to answer questions about Medicare, Insurance, home care and anything else to do with caring for the older population.

Digitization Project
